United Airlines has seen demand increase as company executives believe the economy has stabilized.
Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Nocella said he believed United's current profit forecast may be conservative.
CEO Scott Kirby said the recent passage of the government's budget bill and a more stable Middle East have contributed to less uncertainty about the economy.
"Demand feels to us like it is inflected upward and is returning toward the normal trend line we expected at the start of the year," Kirby said.
