Airbnb is expanding beyond homes to focus on the entire trip — with airport transfers all but officially part of the plan.

  • Global Head of Real Estate Jesse Stein said Airbnb is a place to plan an "entire trip." 
  • Airbnb has been testing airport pickups and scheduled private car transfers in several regions outside North America.
  • But Stein said that the heart and soul of Airbnb would always be its homes business.

Booking Holdings CFO Ewout Steenbergen pushed back on investors who believe travelers are about to abandon OTAs due to the rise of large language models. 

  • "I don't think disintermediation is really a risk at all," Steenbergen said.
  • He said travelers use answer engines to do research and build itineraries, but rely on platforms they trust to make the booking.
  • Booking has two internal startups working on agentic tools that would cover all phases of a trip.
