With a growing backlash over the use of AI to set airfares, American Airlines CEO Robert Isom said on Thursday that the airline wouldn't use the technology in a way that could erode consumer trust.
"I don't think it's appropriate. And certainly, from American, it's not something we will do," Isom said.
Delta has received criticism after saying that it plans to use AI to price up to 20% of domestic airfares by the end of the year.
One lawmaker has introduced the "Stop AI Price Gouging and Wage Fix Act."
